Dryden Dispensary DRYDEN DISPENSARY

The Glass Gallery

The smoke shop at Dryden Dispensary runs the length of the store: hand-blown spoon pipes, water pipes and bongs, bubblers, percolators and dab rigs, grinders, rolling papers and storage, plus a shelf of artist glass. These are photographs of our own stock, taken in the shop. We are on Route 13 in Dryden, about fifteen minutes from both Ithaca and Cortland, and you are welcome to walk in and look at any of it properly.

Hand Pipes

Spoon pipes and hand pipes are the biggest part of the wall and the part people spend longest on. Most of what we carry is hand-blown: latticino cane, honeycomb, dot and opal work, frit and colour-changing glass, plus character pieces worked with faces and horns. They run from a plain workhorse spoon to pieces you would not want to put down. Ask a budtender to take anything out of the case; none of it is behind glass for the sake of being behind glass.

Water Pipes & Bongs

Straight tubes, beakers, bubblers and dab rigs, from simple clear glass up to stacked tree and honeycomb percolators. The long case runs most of the length of the store and the stock turns over, so it is worth walking slowly. If you already own a piece and need a bowl, a downstem or a joint that fits it, bring it in and we will match it.

Artist & Heady Glass

A smaller shelf of heady and artist work: figurative sculpture, etched and fan-worked pieces, hand-made marbles and beads, and dab tools that are objects in their own right. These are one-offs rather than stock lines, so what is in the case changes and a piece you like may not be there next month. Come and look at them properly; photographs do not do the colour justice.

UV Reactive

Some of the glass is made with uranium or UV-reactive colour and lights up green under a blacklight. It looks ordinary on the shelf and completely different under the lamp, which is half the appeal. Ask a budtender and we will put a piece under the light for you.

Come and see it in person

Stock turns over and the artist pieces are one-offs, so treat this page as a sense of what we carry rather than a catalogue. We are at 2207 Dryden Road, on Route 13 between Ithaca and Cortland. Open seven days a week, free onsite parking, wheelchair accessible. Call 607-708-4151 if you are after something specific and we will walk the wall with you on the phone.
