Flower vs. vape vs. pre-roll vs. concentrate
Four popular formats, four different experiences. Here’s a plain-language rundown of what each one is, who it suits and how to choose.
Once you know you want to inhale rather than eat your cannabis, the next question is which format. Flower, pre-rolls, vapes and concentrates all get you there differently — in convenience, in strength and in the ritual. +— a fire-pit night, or whatever just landed. Here’s the honest rundown of each format and who each one suits.
Flower
The classic: dried, cured cannabis buds. You grind it and roll it, pack a bowl or use a dry-herb vaporizer. Flower is sold by weight (an eighth is 3.5 grams) and gives you the fullest, most traditional experience and the widest strain selection. The trade-off is a little prep and gear. Great if you enjoy the ritual and want variety. Browse flower.
Pre-rolls
Flower that’s already ground and rolled into a ready-to-go joint — singles or multi-packs. Zero prep, nothing to buy, easy to share. Some are “infused” with concentrate for an extra-strong version. Perfect for convenience or trying a strain without committing to a whole eighth. See pre-rolls.
Vapes
A battery paired with cannabis oil, either as a disposable all-in-one or a cart that screws onto a reusable battery. Vapes are discreet, low-mess, produce far less odor and make it easy to take a small amount at a time. The oil is more refined than flower, so it tests higher in THC. Ideal for on-the-go and for people who want control and subtlety. Browse vapes, carts and disposables.
Concentrates
The most potent format — extracts like rosin, badder and live resin that concentrate the plant’s active compounds into a small amount of product. They’re typically used with specialized dab gear and are aimed at experienced consumers who want maximum strength and flavor. A little goes a very long way. If you’re new, this is the one to work up to rather than start with. Explore concentrates.
Quick guide to choosing
- Want the classic ritual and selection? Flower.
- Want zero effort? Pre-rolls.
- Want discreet and controllable? Vapes.
- Experienced and after maximum strength? Concentrates.
Still deciding? The four differ more in effort and strength than in anything else, and that’s the axis worth choosing on. You can compare them side by side on the full menu, which is grouped by category. And remember — with any format, especially stronger ones, it’s smart to start small and see how it lands.
